Modern life

Modern life is all about choices, making decisions, balancing, and juggling priorities to meet today’s challenges. After a long day at work, you may find yourself at home wondering if you should take some me-time and indulge in a relaxing bath, or if you should invest your time in listening to that educational podcast you've been planning for the past week (or even month?), or the newly released audiobook everyone is talking about.
Plus, you feel you should finally call one of your best friends you haven't seen in ages. It's a tough choice, isn't it? Well, the answer is simple: you can combine fun with benefit! How about enjoying a nice, relaxing soak in the warm bathtub while listening to the book of your choice or catching up on all the gossip with your bestie?
So, let’s take a few minutes to get ready to unwind. Put everything you would need within easy reach. Make sure your phone is in a dry place in the bathroom.
Fill the tub with nice, warm water. Be careful about the temperature, though. While a hot bath may feel great, it can cause the skin to lose water and strip it of natural oils, leaving it dry and itchy. A warm bath is a better option for your skin, while also providing overall health benefits: it can soothe joints and sore muscles, lower blood pressure and blood sugar, burn calories, support heart health, improve sleep quality, boost the immune system, and reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression, just to name a few. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the optimal bath temperature is lukewarm, which is 36.5 to 40.5 degrees Celsius, or between 98 and 105 Fahrenheit, respectively. Health experts also recommend limiting bath time to 10-20 minutes, as this is plenty enough time to get all the benefits of a bath and avoid skin dehydration, which can be a side effect of staying too long.
Infuse your soak with a fragrant bath product – for example, pick one from the amazingly scented selection of Jelly Bathfoams by Organic Mimi and sink into bubbles of relaxing Spa Relax Lavender & Patchouli, restoring Deep Sleep Camellia & Lotus or calming Stress Off Verbena & Ylang Ylang. Take a small amount of jelly foam and rub it between your palms under the running water as you fill your tub. A warm bath – in combination with certain essential oils and plant actives such as active ingredients of the Jelly Bathfoams: Organic Camellia Oil, Patchouli, Ylang-Ylang, and Organic Lavender Essential Oils, White Lotus and Organic Verbena Extracts – can wonderfully hydrate and soothe dry or irritated skin, while working aromatherapy wonders to relieve physical and emotional fatigue, boost your mood and reduce stress.
In addition, you can always elevate your bathing by combining it with mask time. Hair masks, for example, are particularly easy to use and rewarding. Choose from our hair-loving masks that come in a variety of formulas for different hair needs – Strength & Restore Shea & Magnolia for weakened and damaged hair, All in One Jojoba & Lotus for all hair types, and Volume & Shine Argana & Mulberry for extra volume – to intensively nourish, restore, strengthen, and protect your hair while adding natural shine and radiance. Apply a small amount of mask to clean, damp hair, leave for 3-4 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
Each product has its own unique formula and fragrance with a touch of something special. No unpronounceable ingredients, just natural and organic actives, we promise. Check it out!
